I have counselled individuals and couples for over forty years.

I have a wealth of experience working with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, relationship and other emotional difficulties. Alongside my current private practice I worked at Highgate Counselling Centre for many years, both as a counsellor for individuals and as part of its couples and families team, and as Lead Tutor on its Certificate in Counselling Skills course. My specialisms include relationships, attachment, loss and bereavement. I work gently and sensitively, at your pace.

About me and my practice

I have over forty years of experience counselling individuals, couples and families. I qualified in 1980 and worked with individuals and families initially as a social worker, and then from 1990 as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. From 2013 I also worked as a Families and Couples Counsellor.

I teach on attachment, separation, loss and bereavement, and was Lead Tutor on the Certificate in Counselling Skills course at Highgate Counselling Centre for several years.

For thirteen years I have jointly led a weekly group for carers who have a family member with special needs, at a local church.

In my private practice I work in person from a pleasant consulting room in my garden studio in a leafy secluded setting in Crouch End. I also offer online sessions. My approach is warm, welcoming and non-judgemental. I work sensitively and gently at the pace set by you.
